OK, OK..........so for some reason when you click on the link for my new blog, it doesn't always want to come up.
Just copy and paste it into your URL address line and that should work. Sorry about that.
Just in case, here it is again: www.pattytoxalot.blogspot.com

Hi Yall,
I'm in Texas right now and have had a terrible time with this blog, so I started a new one called

Looks like I left Quartzsite just in time and sat out the storm and some 60+mph winds in Yuma,
and even had a tornado warning. Don't think I was a little nervous bobbing around in my rig.
But all was well after the storm and everything is greening up nicely now.

This is the view out of my rig on Plomosa Rd. in Quartzsite where I set up camp on Jan. 11th
Opening day of the Big Top RV show in Quartzsite on the Jan. 16th
Zillions of RVers are here for the show
Me thinks it's time to "get out of Dodge" as everyone here is heading to the show, I'm heading South to Yuma!

Every morning at Martinez Lake greeted us with a beautiful sunrise.
The volunteers at the local visitor's center took some of our group on a guided hike through the Painted Desert

It's amazing how the wildlife and plant life have survived the extremes in this desert wilderness

This volcanic formation is called a "hoodoo"

It's easy to see why this is called the "Painted Desert"
We enjoyed Linda's beautiful voice as she entertained us in an impromptu free concert at the local Marine Rec area on Martinez Lake
"Grandpa" James got to sit in on this one
Bob shared some favorite songs and showed off his expertise on his new banjo.

"Charlie", the blue heron mascot at the Marine Rec center seemed to enjoy the music also
We had a fun time dancing at the local Cantina on our last day at Lake Martinez
Perfect ending to a perfect week

Thursday, January 7th turned out to be a picture perfect day for the group to go kayaking out of the Martinez Lake Marina
"Gentlemen (and ladies) man your boats!"

"And They're Off and Running"
Here come the 5 W.I.N.'s on their way to meet up with Ron and Linda
"Wow did you get a load of the size of that fish that just swam by?"
Ron and Linda take off from the Marine Rec Center to meet up with the rest of the group
At 76 degrees, Trucker thought it was a perfect day to take a dip at Meers Point
While watching Boise State whip TCU last Monday night at the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix, it appears Trucker invited Hannah for a sleepover. Guess they weren't too interested in the game.

I believe this is Dome Rock overlooking the Yuma Proving Grounds
Sunday evening found me at Martinez Lake campground ready for a quiet and peaceful evening after the two weeks of holiday fun at the VFW in Yuma.
Saturday, Jan. 2nd, we took a tour of the Yuma Lakes area. Above
is Mittry Lake
After the tour a "date shake" sounded good.
